As of December 1st 2020
November 2020 has been the best month in the stock market since the October 1987. Almost all industries posted great returns. On my portfolio, I did a 35.67% return on paper. I really think that all the stocks I have in portfolio right now are solid and will grow in the long run.
Here is what is in our portfolio on December 1st 2020:
Name | Ticker | Quantity | Yield |
Bank of Nova Scotia | BNS | 100 | 5.52% |
Barrick Gold Corp | ABX | 300 | 1.57%* |
BCE inc | BCE | 70 | 5.91% |
CDN Natural Resources | CNQ | 104 | 5.61% |
Enbridge Inc. | ENB | 200 | 7.90% |
Pembina Pipeline Corp | PPL | 207 | 7.69% |
Pro Reit | PRV.UN | 626 | 7.64% |
During the month, I bought 100 shares of Bank of Nova Scotia. I personnaly think that a dividend of 5.52% is great and will benefit my portfolio on the long run. The Bank is solid and has an history of increasing dividend.
Also, I bought some 300 shares in the stock of Barrick Gold inc., ABX. Usually it would not be part of my dividend growth portfolio but I read the dividend might be increased by a significant amount. * As per the information that was distributed during Investor Day in November, Barrick Gold will more than likely adopt a policy to distribute its free cashflow in the form of a dividend. The dividend will be calculated on the predicted cash on hand and margins from operations. I expect the dividend to be starting at a yield of around 4%.
Looking forward I would like to buy more shares of quality companies that are yielding a dividend of between 4 to 12%.
